As a Certified Athletic Therapist, Somatic Therapist and Trauma Informed Breathworker; Kathlyn is well adept to work with both body and mind. She specializes in supporting her clients through bodywork, breathwork, somatic therapies, nervous system regulation and mindful movement practices.
Kat has experience working with all sorts of musculoskeletal, nervous system injuries and traumas. She has experience working with Ehler's Danlos Syndrome, Fibromyalgia, chronic pain, trauma recovery (including PTSD/CPTSD), stress management techniques, and deep tissue body work. Kat has worked with ages 5-95, office workers, first responders, farmers, medical workers, professional athletes and everything else in between.
Whether you're looking to rehabilitate an injury, work through residual effects of trauma, renegotiate your relationship to stress, pain or enhance your body awareness; you will find excellent resources within Kat's practice. It is Kat's intention to support clients in developing a meaningful relationship to themselves and their body through her work.
Your first session with Kat will always include a in depth assessment to get to know you, your presenting problem to be solved and any goals or intentions you have. Kat helps clients with all sorts of things. Some sessions may be focused on getting you back on track after a physical injury, and some sessions may be focused on tuning into the subtle somatic cues from our body to unlayer held tensions or sensations. Kat works with a variety of modalities, including bodywork, breathwork, somatic therapies, mindfulness and movement.
